All Heretics are built from 12 mm canadian ultra premium birch ply, which has a tone that isn’t matched by any other material. The result is a great looking speaker that makes a statement visually and is simply loads of fun to listen to at any volume level. Available in three finishes: Natural or white-washed birch, both hand finished with 100% vegan, food grade linseed oil and beeswax, hand buffed to a satin sheen; or black which features a water-based, COV-free acrylic finish. The H12-303 Heretic Coaxial Transducer features stiff pleated surround, pressed cellulose membrane, acoustically transparent dust cap, protecting the machined aluminum horn loading the extra low mass compression driver. The ferrite magnetic system provides a smooth and musical response up to 5 000 Hz (electrically limited to 1,7 kHz), while the high sensitivity – low distortion compression driver offers a smooth response to over 23 kHz. The system's 97 dB (@ 2,83 V @ 1 M) sensitivity rating makes it an ideal companion to low power, high quality amplifiers. Plus the 250 W rating provides more than ample dynamic range for even the most demanding orchestral music reproduction.
